Shave pubic hair in the shower
Even with all the new-fangled procedures, shaving remains the most common way to get rid of unwanted hair. Although you may have been shaving for years, here are some tips you might not know for keeping your skin at its smoothest. A wet shave has a peeling effect, a dry shave is quick and easy.
Don‘t use cheap razor blades. Invest in a good razor like the Schick Protector safety razor or the Mach 3 from Gilette. Bad razors increase the chances of getting nicked up and cuts.
Don‘t shave first thing in the morning when skin tends to be puffy. Instead, wait 20 minutes or so for your skin to tighten up. You might want to use that time to take a bath or shower. Warm water softens hair, and make a close shave so much easier. Shave in the shower: the hot steam will make it easier to cut off your hair. With Total Shaving Solution oil you can even shave under water in the bath!
When shaving, stroke an area no more than twice to reduce skin irritation. On the first stroke, go “with the grain” to remove most of the hair, then go “against the grain” for a smooth, close shave.
Change your razor blade often, every three to four shaves. A dull blade can cause irritation and nicks. Don‘t use bar soap for lather. Because soap dries out quickly, it can actually make it harder to shave. Instead, use a lubricating shaving cream or gel: they clean the skin and soften the surface to make a smooth shave possible. Or even better than foam, cream or gel: the Total Shaving Solution oil.
After shaving, first rinse the skin with hot water and then with cold water to close the pores. Here‘s one last word of advice: Don‘t apply suntan lotions right after shaving. Many contain chemicals that can irritate skin.
