Pubic hair is defined as the hair in the frontal genital area, in the crotch and some add the top inside of the legs. In most cases, distinguished pubic hair can be found within 3 years into puberty.

Epilation is the removal of the entire hair, including the part below the skin. Commonly used methods are waxing, sugaring, epilation devices, lasers, threading, intense pulsed light or electrology and plucking with tweezers.
Manscaping is the trimming or removal of body hair by men.
